Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Fibre Engineer/Splicer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop technical skills in fibre optic installation, splicing, and maintenance within a fast-paced telecommunications environment.

Duties

Assist experienced fibre engineers with the installation, splicing, and testing of fibre optic cables on existing legacy networks.
Conduct routine inspections of installed cables and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, including splicing diagrams, test results, and site reports.
Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Skills

Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in understanding how equipment and infrastructure operate.
Telecoms Experience.
Ability to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail during installation and troubleshooting activities.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Pay: £25,420.00-£44,450.06 per year
