Job description

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly team.

In this role, you'll support daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure service areas are kept clean and well-stocked. You’ll be working in a busy, supportive environment where great customer service and attention to detail are key. Previous experience in a catering or food service setting is ideal, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. If you're looking for a rewarding role with regular hours and a great team, we’d love to hear from you.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Harpurhey campus to join our Facilities Department as a Catering Assistant on a permanent, part-time (16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 10:00 – 14:00), term-time only (over 36 weeks) basis.

The campus specialises in areas such as sport, public services, and foundation learning, with dedicated spaces that support hands-on, practical teaching. Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Hold or work towards a Food Hygiene Level 2.
Manual Handling training.
Risk assessment training.
COSHH training.
