Locco Fashion (Saint Genies) is a womenswear fashion designer, manufacturer, and supplier dedicated to high fashion and contemporised style. Based in Manchester, we design, manufacture, and distribute trend-driven wholesale fashion to individual retailers, boutique owners, e-retailers, branded stores and big retail players in the market. This is a fast paced and innovative environment, where you will be expected to have strong self-awareness, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to process emails and documents quickly.
Role Summary
The Fast Fashion Merchandiser is responsible for supporting the full product lifecycle from trend research, product planning, sourcing, pricing, launch, to post-launch performance analysis. The role works closely with Buying, Design, Production, Marketing, Influencer/TikTok teams, and suppliers to ensure products land on time, at target cost, and aligned with weekly drop calendars.
You ensure best-selling styles move quickly, slow sellers are managed, and the brand can react in real-time to market trends.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product & Trend Development
- Analyse TikTok, Instagram, competitors (Zara, H&M, Shein, ASOS, PLT) for emerging trends.
- Create weekly moodboards, trend reports, and style recommendations.
- Review samples with designers and buyers; give feedback on fit, fabric, price, and commercial potential.
2. Range Planning & Assortment
- Build and maintain the seasonal range plan and weekly drops.
- Identify gaps in assortment and propose new fast-react styles.
- Ensure product mix aligns with target audience and price points.
3. Supplier Management
- Communicate daily with factories and agents regarding sampling, costing, and production.
- Negotiate prices to hit margins and achieve “affordable” brand positioning.
- Track production status, approve bulk fabrics, trims, and ensure testing standards.
4. Critical Path & Timeline Management
- Own and maintain the critical path from initial development to launch.
- Ensure samples arrive on time, shoots are booked, and stock lands in line with drop dates.
- Flag delays early and put corrective actions in place.
5. Sales Performance & Reporting
- Monitor weekly sales, returns, and margins for all categories.
- Identify best sellers and push reorders, reactively scale production.
- Mark down or phase out slow sellers; recommend replacements.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing to brief best-selling products for TikTok/ads.
- Work with e-commerce to ensure product page accuracy (images, copy, size charts).
- Coordinate with warehouse/logistics to ensure smooth inbound flow.
Required Skills
- Strong trend sense + commercial awareness.
- Excellent Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, sell-through tracking).
- Communication & negotiation skills with overseas factories.
- Organisation and critical path management.
- Understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Experience
- 1–3 years in merchandising, buying, or product development (fast fashion preferred).
- Experience with PLM, WMS, and e-commerce systems is a plus.
