About the Company

Woodgate & Clark has been providing a loss adjusting service to the UK insurance market for over 40 years and is one of the UK’s leading loss adjusters, providing complete claims solutions to insurance providers operating in commercial, domestic, marine, and motor. The Company excels at the handling of specialist and non-standard claims. We are currently just under 350 team members across the UK and since 2015, Woodgate & Clark has been part of the Van Ameyde Group, Europe’s market leader in international claims management. Van Ameyde operates across more than 30 territories through 46 operating companies, with more than 1500 team members. To complement our adjusting services, we also have our own dedicated building repair network, Quadrassist, and provide specialist loss adjusting services in entertainment, events, and advertising through Spotlite Claims.

About the Role

The Compliance Administrator will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in a compliance or administrative role, ideally within the insurance or loss adjusting sector. They will possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practice, with the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into clear, practical actions. Highly organised and adaptable, the role requires excellent planning and project management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a confident approach to supporting audits, risk reviews, and compliance processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across business continuity, information security, GDPR, and overall regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Assist with Client, third party, and internal audits, and due diligence for new and existing relationships relating to the business compliance.
Assist with regular reviews of the risks facing the business and the adequacy of mitigation plans.
Support the Head of Risk & Compliance in all aspects of Business Continuity, Information Security, GDPR, and all related regulatory compliance matters.
Organise and minute the Information Security and Health & Safety quarterly meetings and ensure actions are completed including monthly reporting processes.
Ensure all training is up to date in accordance with company policies and arrange external training where required.
Assist with the updating of policies and processes in line with any regulatory changes or annual updates.
Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
Log all incidents of data breaches and provide monthly report to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
Log any other incidents and assist in investigation and information gathering.
Complete DSAR requests and log these across the business.
Ensure KRI’s are monitored and reviewed in line with KRI requirements and provide monthly or quarterly updated to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
Ordering of PPE for all New Starters to the business where required.
Keep the Risk & Compliance and Health & Safety Hub up to date in line with external or internal changes in the law and/or internal policies.
Support business transition projects where appropriate.
You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required and notified to you by the Company.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a compliance support or administration function.
In depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations.
Experience in loss adjusting or the insurance industry.
Autonomous and proactive with good organisational/administrative skills.
Planning and project management skills.
Detail-orientated with the ability to review and suggest amendments to complex documents including policies, processes and plans.
Able to deliver and request complex information relating to risk and compliance.
Able to digest complex information and summarise it.
Adaptable and flexible and able to respond to urgent request.

Qualifications

Progress towards relevant professional qualifications.
Minimum English and Maths GCSEs at Pass Level.
