Full job description

About You

We are seeking a professional, organised and customer focused Conference & Events Coordinator to join our Conference Services team on a 12‑month fixed term basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of conferences and events across the University. Working closely with clients, internal stakeholders and the Conference & Events Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring events are delivered smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard, contributing to customer satisfaction and commercial success.

Key Tasks

Coordinate the planning and delivery of conferences and events from initial enquiry through to completion

Act as a key point of contact for clients, building positive working relationships and responding to enquiries and requests

Prepare and manage event documentation including contracts, operational schedules, risk assessments and invoices

Liaise with internal teams such as Timetabling, Catering, Facilities and IT to ensure event requirements are met

Support the onsite delivery of events, ensuring rooms and services are set up correctly and customer expectations are met

Maintain accurate records on event management and booking systems

Contribute to sales targets, income generation and high levels of customer satisfaction

About You

We are looking for a proactive and well organised individual with experience of working in a customer focused environment, ideally within conferences, events or hospitality. You will have strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.

You will be confident working with clients and colleagues, able to prioritise effectively, and committed to delivering a high quality service. Experience of coordinating events, managing event administration and working with booking or event management systems would be highly beneficial.
