Join Achieve Recovery Services, GMMH, as a Recovery Coordinator

Achieve Recovery Services brings together passionate people from a wide range of organisations, backgrounds and experiences. With a shared purpose, we deliver life‑changing services, opportunities & treatment for individuals & families affected by drug & alcohol use. Working as a strong & committed Achieve Partnership, we are determined to create meaningful change for our communities. With a new long‑term contract to deliver drug & alcohol treatment across Salford, Trafford & Bury from April 2026, we are excited to grow our team.

We are delighted to offer multiple permanent, full‑time Recovery Coordinator positions (37.5 hours per week) within Achieve Salford.

You will bring a strong understanding of the issues faced by people who use drugs & alcohol, along with an awareness of the barriers that may prevent individuals from accessing support. You will have knowledge of the recovery agenda & a commitment to person‑centred care. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build positive, trusting relationships. Above all, you will have a genuine passion for helping people change their lives. If you’re motivated, compassionate & ready to make a lasting impact, we would love to hear from you.

As a Recovery Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our service. You will carry out initial assessments with individuals seeking support and provide compassionate, structured case management. You will empower people to overcome challenges related to drug and alcohol use, work closely with families, significant others and partner agencies, and use motivational, strengths‑based approaches to inspire hope and progress. Your work will support individuals to achieve and sustain their recovery goals.

To offer advice, information, advocacy and support to substance misusers accessing or seeking to access the service, and to provide a range of interventions dependent on the needs of the service and the service user.

To case manage identified service users with substance misuse problems, keeping them fully informed of the range of services and support available to them and the choices they have. Ensuring that are involved in developing realistic recovery plans and facilitating access to psychosocial interventions and support both within and external to the service.

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 7,000 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 120 locations.

We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, Bury, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.
