Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Warehouse/Driver at our busy warehouse in Stockport, Manchester. This is a versatile role where you will be driving our Luton van to deliver goods to customers within a 1-hour radius, and also covering warehouse duties during holidays or sickness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver products to customers across the North West.
- Manage delivery routes efficiently.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders.
- Wrap flue liners and pallets.
- Load and unload vehicles.
- Store incoming goods.
- Operate machinery (e.g., Counterbalance Forlift, Ducting machine, Pallet stacker).
- Assist with daily dispatch duties.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Handle materials with care, following proper heavy lifting techniques.
- Manage stock levels, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
- Use the warehouse management system to track inventory and assist with order picking and packing.
- Build pallets and prepare goods for dispatch according to company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of products to clients.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Counterbalance licence preferred but not essential; training available.
- Ability to work closely with a small team and be flexible.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Friendly, helpful personality and self-motivation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience in materials handling techniques and practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage stock effectively within the warehouse.
