When you join Your Trust as a Swimming Teacher you will be part of a charity based in Rochdale that aims to support every member of our diverse community to live their best life; inspiring them to be healthier, happier and creative people.

As a Swimming Teacher we can offer you:

Salary: Band 3, £29,877 per annum (pro-rate for part time) / £15.49 per hour

Hours: Various evening and weekend hours available

Location: Middleton Arena

What will my role be as a Swimming Teacher

The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient and high quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes delivering swimming lessons, in line with STA Guidance, to a range of learners from babies to adults as part of the Your Trust Swim Academy.

What do I need to have?

Qualified to Level 2 STA Swimming Teachers Award or Certificate or Swim England Qualification Level 2 Teaching Swimming - however for the right candidate full training and qualification will be provided
Experience of teaching swimming at a variety of levels and with all ages
Hold National Rescue Test for Swimming Teachers (NRASTC) or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
Friendly, outgoing person who has excellent communication skills with both children and adults
Ability to follow laid down procedures, work under pressure and without constant supervision
Ability to work within a team with common objectives.
Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
