Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist or Locum Dentist to join our Private dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining excellent clinical standards. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, utilising advanced technology and techniques to deliver comprehensive dental treatments. The position is suitable for experienced practitioners seeking flexible locum work or a permanent associate role.

Duties

Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments of patients’ oral health
Diagnose dental conditions using clinical examination and medical imaging tools
Develop personalised treatment plans in collaboration with patients
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic treatments
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain strict hygiene standards
Educate patients on oral health maintenance and preventive care
Keep accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and professional standards
Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry and incorporate new techniques into practice

Qualifications

Fully qualified Dentist with registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) or relevant regulatory body
Proven experience in general dentistry; additional specialisation is a plus
Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dental practice
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques such as X-rays and digital scans
Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively
Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
