Broker Operations Executive

We're looking for a highly organised Broker Operations Executive to join our growing Operations team. This role sits at the heart of the business, ensuring applications progress efficiently from submission through to completion while delivering an outstanding experience for both clients and lending partners.

The Role

The Broker Operations Executive will support our Commercial Finance Brokers throughout the funding journey by managing applications, maintaining accurate records, liaising with lenders and clients, and ensuring every deal progresses smoothly.

This is a fast-paced role that requires exceptional organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Management

Prepare and submit commercial finance applications to lenders.
Package applications accurately, ensuring all supporting documents are included.
Review documentation before submission to minimise delays.
Monitor applications from submission through to completion.
Chase outstanding information from clients where required.

Broker Support

Work closely with Brokers to progress active cases.
Provide regular updates on application status.
Prioritise urgent cases and manage lender expectations.
Assist with lender requirements and conditions prior to drawdown.

Lender Relationship Management

Liaise daily with a wide panel of lenders.
Build strong relationships with underwriting and broker support teams.
Negotiate documentation requirements where appropriate.
Ensure applications are placed with the most suitable lenders.

Client Communication

Act as a point of contact for clients during the application process.
Keep clients informed throughout the funding journey.
Request additional information promptly and professionally.
Deliver a high level of customer service at every stage.

CRM & Administration

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the Greenwood Capital CRM.
Upload documentation and record all communications.
Ensure notes and case histories are complete and accurate.
Manage lender portals and application tracking systems.
Produce documentation for offers and completions.
Support reporting and general operational administration.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Support the implementation of new technology and AI tools.
Help maintain internal processes and operational documentation.
Contribute ideas to improve client experience and turnaround times.

About You

You'll be someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys bringing structure and organisation to complex processes.

Essential

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working with CRMs and multiple software systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Strong problem-solving ability.
Professional, proactive and highly organised.

Desirable

Experience within commercial finance, banking, asset finance or business lending.
Experience working with lender portals.
Knowledge of commercial lending products.
Experience supporting brokers or relationship managers.
Understanding of AML/KYC and financial documentation.
Experience using bespoke CRM systems.
