Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and charismatic Live Auction Host for our 'What Not' event series. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging audiences, managing the flow of the auction, and ensuring a lively and enjoyable experience for all participants. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a flair for management, hospitality, and guest services to showcase their talents in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Host live auction sessions, introducing items and engaging with bidders in real-time
- Manage the auction process smoothly, ensuring timely bidding and transitions between lots
- Interact professionally with guests, providing exceptional guest services and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Coordinate with event staff to ensure seamless operations and adherence to schedule
- Promote the event to maximise participation and bidding activity
- Handle any guest queries or issues promptly and courteously
- Assist in setting up the auction space, including organising items and ensuring presentation standards are met
Qualifications
- Proven experience in management, hospitality, or guest services roles is desirable
- Excellent communication skills with a confident and engaging personality
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during live events
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly demeanour with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences
- Previous experience hosting live events or auctions is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
