Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a range of masonry, carpentry, and roofing skills within a dynamic working environment. The ideal applicant will be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary before plastering.
Mix plaster to the correct consistency using hand tools or power mixers.
Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with trowels, hawks, or sprayers to achieve smooth finishes.
Use masonry skills for bricklaying or patching damaged areas when required.
Operate power tools such as drills, mixers, and saws safely and effectively.
Assist with carpentry tasks related to framing or supporting structures during plastering projects.
Perform roofing tasks if needed, including installing or repairing roof structures.
Utilise welding equipment for specialised repair or installation work when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other tradespeople including masons, carpenters, and roofers to ensure project completion within deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience in plastering or related masonry trades.
Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels.
Knowledge of bricklaying and general masonry techniques.
Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
Skills in carpentry and roofing are desirable but not essential.
Experience with welding is advantageous but not mandatory.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely.
Physical fitness to perform manual labour over extended periods.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are preferred but not mandatory. This role offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about construction craftsmanship and eager to develop their skills across multiple disciplines within the building industry.
