Trainee Negotiator
Bloom Manchester
Manchester City Centre
£26,500 basic salary plus monthly performance bonuses
Full-Time, Permanent
Building a career in the commercial sector requires more than just ambition; it requires the right environment and direct mentorship from those who have already succeeded in the field. Bloom Manchester is currently looking for an individual to join our city centre team as a Trainee Negotiator, where the focus is on developing high-level communication and business skills through practical, daily involvement. This is a role designed for someone who is serious about their professional growth and wants to learn the fundamentals of negotiation and relationship management within a high-standard business environment.
We recognise that the most talented professionals often start with little more than a strong work ethic and a willingness to listen. Because of this, we provide a structured pathway that moves away from theoretical classroom learning and focuses instead on real-world experience. From your first week, you will be working alongside an experienced Department Manager, gaining direct exposure to the complexities of business development and the nuances of professional sales processes.
The Manchester business landscape is competitive, and our expectations for this role reflect that. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their professional presentation and is ready to take on genuine responsibility. In return, we offer a stable, supportive environment where your development is prioritised through daily feedback and a clear, performance-based progression structure. This is an opportunity to build a sophisticated skill set that will serve as the foundation for a long-term career in the commercial world.
The Role: Practical Learning and Development
As a Trainee Negotiator, you will be involved in the core activities of our Manchester City Centre operation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will expand as your confidence and skills grow, covering:
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of commercial negotiation techniques.
- Managing professional communications with a diverse range of clients.
- Learning to navigate and manage sales processes from initial contact to completion.
- Building and maintaining long-term professional relationships.
- Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.
- Developing problem-solving skills to resolve commercial challenges effectively.
- Maintaining high standards of professional presentation and office-based administration.
- Participating in performance reviews and goal-setting sessions with your manager.
What we are looking for
We are less interested in your previous job titles and more interested in your potential and your personal attributes. This role is ideally suited to someone who:
- Possesses a professional, confident, and clear communication style.
- Is naturally resilient and thrives in a goal-oriented environment.
- Maintains an organised and methodical approach to their workload.
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in business and commercial awareness.
- Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in being a dependable member of a team.
- Enjoys speaking with people and can build rapport quickly and authentically.
- Has a healthy competitive drive and a desire to meet and exceed professional standards.
Training and Mentorship
At Bloom Manchester, we believe that the best way to learn is by doing. You will receive direct coaching from an experienced Department Manager who will invest time in your professional development. This includes daily feedback, hands-on support during client interactions, and a structured development plan that is reviewed regularly. You will be encouraged to take initiative and will be given the tools necessary to succeed in a professional commercial setting.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic salary of £26,500 per annum.
- A structured monthly performance bonus scheme.
- A clear and transparent development pathway into senior roles.
- A modern, professional working environment in Manchester City Centre.
- Regular recognition for high performance and dedication.
- Company events and networking opportunities within the local business community.
- Employee referral incentives.
- Additional learning and development opportunities as you progress.
