The Creative Producer will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering high-quality wedding, event and commercial video productions from initial client briefing through to final delivery. The role involves managing production schedules, creative workflows, production personnel, client communication and post-production processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, to the required quality standard and in line with the company’s creative brand.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet clients before events to understand their production requirements, preferred style, schedules, key moments and final deliverables.
- Develop production plans, creative briefs, shot lists, filming schedules and event-day workflows for wedding and event video projects.
- Coordinate filming teams, including videographers, photographers, editors and freelance production staff, ensuring all personnel receive clear project instructions and schedules.
- Organise technical resources, filming equipment, venue access arrangements, travel requirements and production logistics before each event.
- Oversee filming operations at weddings, events and client locations to ensure the production team captures the required footage and works in a professional, organised and timely manner.
- Monitor creative quality during productions and ensure footage is captured in accordance with agreed client requirements and company standards.
- Manage production timelines from booking stage through filming, editing, client review, revisions and final delivery.
- Supervise the post-production workflow, including footage transfer, file organisation, editing schedules, quality checks, client feedback and final export of video content.
- Review edited wedding films, highlight videos, social-media content and other deliverables before they are issued to clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients before, during and after events, responding to production queries and ensuring expectations are managed professionally.
- Coordinate client amendments and revision requests, ensuring final videos are delivered within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate project records, production schedules, client requirements, crew allocations and delivery status.
- Support the development of creative concepts, filming styles, editing standards and production processes to improve the company’s service offering.
- Help identify operational improvements, including more efficient workflows, quality-control processes, equipment planning and team coordination.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, data-protection requirements, health and safety expectations and venue rules.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in video production, event production, wedding media, broadcasting, creative production or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of video-production workflows, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, quality control and final delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, client expectations and production teams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and client-management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and travel to event venues where required.
- Experience coordinating photographers, videographers, editors or other creative professionals.
- Good understanding of video-editing and file-management processes.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be professional, organised, creative and capable of taking responsibility for the smooth delivery of high-value wedding and event productions. They must be able to work independently while coordinating closely with directors, clients, freelance creatives and production staff.
