We're hiring a Program Assistant at Manchester Sprint Club — a premium youth sprint training program for kids ages 8 to 16.
This is not a coaching role. We have a head coach. We're looking for the person who runs the floor at our tryouts and sessions, makes parents feel welcomed, tracks every athlete, and keeps everything organised behind the scenes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Part-time, ~10 hours per week to start, growing as we scale
- Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday sessions in Manchester
- £30/hour base, plus £50 per new member signup
- Hourly rate climbs as the club grows — we share the next tier at interview
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run the floor at tryouts and member sessions
- Welcome every parent and child by name
- Track attendance and performance notes
- Keep sessions starting and ending on time
- Plan MSC events: Christmas dinner, parties, outdoor sessions
- Maintain feedback surveys and member records
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong preference for a female candidate (team dynamic and safeguarding for our young athletes)
- Age 25 to 40, living in Manchester
- Either has her own children OR currently works with kids professionally (teacher, TA, PE teacher, nursery, special education, after-school coordinator)
- Elite organisation — thinks four steps ahead
- Warm, patient, and genuinely loves working with kids ages 8 to 16
- Always early. Always reliable.
- Comfortable with evenings, weekends, and occasional last-minute shifts
- Enhanced DBS certificate already in hand (required — we cannot process this for you)
- UK resident
