Established in 1987, Oxendale's Building Services have been operating primarily as a Mechanical and Plumbing company, our sustained growth plan over the last 5 years has lead to a company Turnover in excess of 14 million delivered by an in house team of 50 employees and key sub-contractors, we are currently look to recruit a number of different positions within the company to continue this growth in the next 5 years, positions available include:
M&E Project Manager (Electrical Bias) - 1 position
Electricians (2-3 Positions)
Electrical Improvers/Mates (2-3 Positions)
We are expanding our company to deliver in house Electrical installations, as part of this we are seeking a number of skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings, primarily within the Education, Health, Defence, stadia, care & commercial sectors.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Applicants should possess strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget, Standard contracted hours are 39 per week, but the position offers opportunity for overtime
Duties
- Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, lighting, and power systems in commercial premises
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing electrical installations
- Troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently and safely, implementing effective solutions
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and standards
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out installation and repair tasks
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Skills
- Solid electrical experience within commercial environments
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
- Relevant NVQ Level 2-3 / City and Guilds (prefared)
- 2391 or equivalent / graded as Approved Electrician
- Current JIB Card or ability to be graded
- PASMA/IPAF/First Aid/Asbestos Awareness/SSSTS/SMSTS/ would be beneficial but not essential
- Driving Licence
