Ely

Brainkind have a network of services across the UK that support people with acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions. Our neurological centres, residential homes, hospitals, and supported living services across the UK are there to help people wherever they are in their journey.

About the role:
As a Wellbeing and Activities Volunteer you will be participating in activities that enhance the overall well-being and quality of life of the people we support.

Activities may include :

Supporting the activities team with events and daily activities
Supporting Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams
Engaging individuals with arts and crafts, music, or other creative activities
Socialising with residents and fostering a sense of community
Encouraging participation in hobbies and interests
Assisting individuals in accessing resources and activities within the local community
Organising and leading your own creative sessions, if desired!

How often we would like your support:
Ideally, we hope you will choose to volunteer 3-6 hours a week, however all our roles are flexible, and times should be agreed with your local centre.

What we hope you will bring to the role:

A friendly and supportive approach
Reliability and trustworthiness
Effective communication skills
An understanding of the importance of working within guidelines and always report anything of concern to a supervisor
