Dental Receptionist – Part-Time (3 Days per Week)

We are looking for a friendly and professional Dental Receptionist to join our independent dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of asmall, welcoming, and supportive team where patient care and communication are our top priorities.

Position Details:

Role: Dental Receptionist
Hours: Part-time – 3 days per week
Location: top of North Hill in Colchester city centre

About You:

Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred
A dental background is required, but formal qualifications are not essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
Confident, well-organised, and able to multitask in a busy environment
Professional, friendly, and patient-focused approach
Strong IT and administrative skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Welcoming patients and providing a friendly, professional first point of contact
Managing appointment bookings, cancellations, and diary coordination
Handling patient enquiries both in person and over the phone
Maintaining accurate patient records using practice management systems
Processing payments and handling financial transactions
Liaising with clinicians and the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
Supporting the overall efficiency and organisation of the reception area
Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and practice policies
