Job Description
As a Furniture Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, assembly, and fitting of office and commercial furniture at client sites. This includes desks, chairs, storage units, meeting room furniture, and bespoke workspace solutions. You will represent the company on-site, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. You will be working and learning alongside a very experience furniture installer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install office and commercial furniture to specification
- Read and interpret technical drawings, layout plans, and installation instructions
- Load and unload furniture and materials safely and securely
- Inspect furniture for damage or missing parts and report any issues
- Liaise with clients on-site to ensure satisfaction with the installation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment on job sites
- Follow health and safety guidelines and company procedures at all times
- Complete installation and obtain client sign-off
- Provide occasional support to warehouse or logistics teams as needed
Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous experience in furniture fitting, carpentry, or a related trade
- Full UK driving licence (clean or minimal endorsements)
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items safely
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Flexible with working hours and travel to client sites
Desirable:
- CSCS card or equivalent health & safety certification
- Experience in office or commercial furniture fitting
- Basic IT skills
