The role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Solutions Manager to join our team in Colchester. This pivotal position plays a key role in driving the success of our projects by overseeing solution development, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring customer requirements are met with excellence and innovation.

Key responsibilities

Lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical solutions aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
Collaborate closely with engineering and IT teams to design and implement effective solutions that meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.
Manage stakeholder relationships including customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify risks and issues early, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project timelines and quality.
Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating best practices to enhance solution capabilities.
Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation to senior management and clients.
Support business development activities by contributing technical expertise to bids and proposals.

Qualifications and experience

Proven experience in a solutions management or similar role within the engineering or IT sectors.
Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex systems and translate requirements into practical solutions.
Excellent leadership and project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
Professional certifications in project management or relevant technical fields would be advantageous.
