We are looking for a creative, reliable, and technically confident DSLR Camera Photo Booth Operator who has DSLR experience to join our events team.
This role involves collecting, setting up, and operating photo booths/video booths at a range of events, capturing high-quality photo and video content, and delivering a professional experience for clients and guests.

- This is a zero-hours self employed role with no guaranteed weekly hours
- Work is primarily weekends and evening shifts, often during unsociable hours such as 7pm–11pm, although times can vary depending on the event and we may have corporate events during the mid week (mon-thursday.)
- This role is based in Nottinghamshire, so you must be based locally or within a reasonable travelling distance
- You must drive, own a vehicle, and have a valid UK driving licence and insurance
- You must have your own DSLR camera and you MUST HAVE DSLR camera experience
- You must be confident using DSLR, iPads, Windows laptops/computers, and event technology
- You must have relevant experience with DSLR photography and live events
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys photography, events, and working in fast-paced environments. You will be responsible for setting up and operating photo booth and video booth equipment, capturing strong-quality images/video, helping guests use the booth, and representing the company professionally at events.
Duties include
- Collecting, transporting, setting up, and operating DSLR/photo booth/video booth equipment at event venues
- Using DSLR cameras, iPads, GoPros, Windows devices, and related event tech confidently
- Positioning equipment and guests, lighting, backgrounds, and guests to achieve the best results
- Capturing high-quality images/video while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Working efficiently in busy, high-pressure environments, including small spaces and crowded venues
- Assisting guests with booth use and creating a positive experience
- Troubleshooting technical issues quickly and calmly during events
- Following company procedures for event check-in and operation
- Collecting guest reviews during events
- Ensuring equipment is handled carefully and kept in good working condition
- Remaining punctual, presentable, proactive, and professional at all times
Experience and skills required
- Proven DSLR photography experience
- A strong portfolio showing relevant camera work
- Good general technical confidence
- Comfortable using iPads, Windows systems, and related software
- Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
- Experience in live events, photo booths, hospitality, entertainment, or similar customer-facing environments
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Friendly, confident communication skills
- Ability to handle large crowds, difficult guests, and busy event environments
Additional information
This role is part of a casual zero-hours staff pool.
Shifts are offered based on business needs and event bookings, so hours will vary and are not guaranteed.
Most work is on weekends and evenings, with some weekday corporate events.
Ongoing work will depend on reliability, responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to accept suitable shifts.

- Please note that this job requires you picking up photo/video booths from our office - Pleasley Vale Business Park. NG19 8FB and dropping them off their then heading to venues we allocate you to primarily in the East Midlands/Yorkshire but sometimes further afield. Mileage is paid. You therefore need to be primarily based in Nottinghamshire. Please acknowledge you are aware of this below.
