Job description
We are looking to recruit a Lettings Negotiator dealing with residential lets inMansfield. The post will operate from our Mansfield office.
The successful applicant will work closely with Senior Officers and the Operations Director.
The team is friendly, hardworking and collaborative. Aside from the core skills needed for the position, we are looking for somebody who can demonstrate their willingness to support those around them and lend a hand in other work when required.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conducting viewings in a range of properties (flats, houses, house shares).
· Dealing with visitors, enquiries and telephone calls
· Dealing with property enquiries
· Prepare and execute leases
· Coordinate property maintenance
· General property administration
· Follow up prospective tenants
· Reporting to and building/maintaining relationships with Landlords
· Property inspections/inventories
· Liaise with student tenants and guarantors
· Instructing and overseeing contractors, suppliers and managing property maintenance
· Chasing and monitoring arrears
· Ensuring timely processing of deposits and documentation
· Managing tenant behaviour
· Preparing properties for marketing such as taking photographs and preparing advertisements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in lettings administration is desirable; experience in the property field is essential
- Good IT skills including Outlook, Excel and Word
- General understanding of Windows based computer packages
- Flexible and able to prioritise workload
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with difficult situations courteously and assertively
- Prepared to take on responsibility and work without supervision
- Willing to pitch in where needed to help other areas of the business
- Full driving Licence essential
- Experience of Expert Agent desirable but not essential.
