Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Casual Night Porter/Auditor to join our hospitality team. This role involves overseeing the hotel premises during night hours, ensuring guest safety, maintaining security protocols, and providing excellent guest services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a professional demeanour, and experience in hospitality environments. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse guest base. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience within the hotel industry while working flexible night shifts.
Duties
- Conduct nightly security checks across all hotel areas to ensure safety and security of guests and staff.
- Assist late-night guests with check-ins, check-outs, and general enquiries using professional phone etiquette.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels, responding promptly to any alerts or irregularities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of public areas during the night shift.
- Record and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management for prompt resolution.
- Support guest services by providing information about hotel facilities and local attractions as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the hotel premises.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as logging incidents or completing nightly reports.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are advantageous for assisting our diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of guest services standards and hospitality protocols is desirable.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and customer service best practices is beneficial.
