Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating large 44Tonne commercial tipper vehicles primarily within the agricultural sector , delivering grain / pulses and seed efficiently and safely to mills across designated routes under TASCC regulations . Nights away will be required with occasional Saturday Working. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.

Duties

Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, in accordance with all road safety and Tachograph regulations and company policies
Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods
Secure loads properly onto tipper trailers so as to not overload or prevent movement during transit
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and collection notes.
Maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with customers and colleagues
Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for swift resolution

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tipper vehicles and delivery operations
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling
Ability to undertake driving duties over long hours, including early mornings or late evenings as required
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and delivery requirements

This position is ideal for experienced drivers committed to delivering high standards of safety and service. Applicants should possess a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to all legal and safety standards.

Newley qualified drivers will be considered.
