Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and friendly Finance Administrator to join Wootton Organic Wholesale, supporting the renowned Daylesford Organic brand. The role is based within the award-winning Organic Abattoir situated in the beautiful 5500-acre Wootton Estate in Staffordshire.

We recognise that future growth and success are shaped by our team’s ambition and looking after our land and animals is really at the heart of what we do.

Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, you will also provide administrative support to the General Manager and wider team to support the efficient day-to-day running of the Abattoir.

You will be required to maintain flexibility to working hours to meet deadlines, the typical hours of work will be 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 15:30 Friday.

Responsibilities

Processing of stock/non-stock purchase orders
Maintenance and control of purchase ledger including supplier reconciliations
Credit control including the processing of sales invoices and credit notes
Maintenance of financial information and production of weekly reports
Responding to relevant telephone, post and email enquiries
Maintaining accurate and confidential financial and administrative records in line with Company procedures.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a finance and administration support role and be confident producing accurate, high-quality work to deadlines within a busy office environment.

They will be highly organised, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to effectively prioritise workloads.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the confidence to build effective working relationships across a variety of departments and levels within the business.

We are looking for a proactive team player who can also work independently. Candidates should be confident using Excel and comfortable learning and using finance and business systems. Previous experience using accounting software would be advantageous, although training will be provided.

Pay: £27,880.00 per year
