Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organised and experienced Studio Admin Assistant to join our Architectural practice. Working closely with the Practice Manager, this varied role offers the opportunity to support the smooth day-to-day running of the studio while contributing flexibly across several areas of the practice. Responsibilities range from administration and bookkeeping to event coordination, PR communications and wider studio operations.
This position is ideally suited to a highly organised individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in delivering excellent administrative and operational support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively. Strong IT skills and experience with administrative and financial processes are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
· Studio Operations – Supporting the day-to-day running of the studio and providing general administrative support.
· Finance & Administration – Managing internal timesheet systems and assisting with bookkeeping, expenses and VAT records.
· Office Management – Managing project archiving and assisting in maintaining company policies, procedures and manuals
· Facilities Management – Assisting with health and safety administration, including fire alarm testing, as well as equipment and materials management.
· CPD Coordination – Managing the practice’s CPD programme, ensuring compliance with ARB requirements.
· PR & Communications – Assisting with website updates, award submissions and PR items.
· Events & Team Activities – Planning and coordinating staff events, trips and celebrations.
Skills & Experience
Essential
· Minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or office support role.
· Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to take initiative.
Desirable
· Experience using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
· Basic bookkeeping or finance administration experience.
· Experience supporting marketing, communications, events or PR activities.
· An interest in Architecture, Design or the creative industries.
Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
