Job Overview
We are looking for a fun, kind hearted and positive dental nurse to join our dentalbox family.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high standards of cross infection control, compliance and organisation within the practice.
We are a Therapy-Led practice that is owned and managed by a Qualified Dental Nurse / Orthodontic Therapist, that endeavours to support her teams career progression and fosters an environment where nurses feel fulfilled, supported and valued.
Patients receive a comprehensive new patient registration with an iTero scan, clinical photographs and a written oral health report that gives them a detailed insight into their current dental health and then referred in-house to our dental team for the most appropriate care for their needs. Our focus is patient education and involvement and we're looking for a passionate dental nurse to join our patient centred practice.
We are a small team, so flexibility and willingness to support one another is essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentist, therapists, orthodontist during a variety of dental and orthodontic procedures by preparing instruments and materials
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout their visit
- Maintain strict hygiene and sterilisation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient records efficiently
- Support with administrative tasks such as stock control and ordering supplies
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations
Experience
- Previous dental experience is essential
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Ability to work as a team
- Knowledge of Dentally or strong computer proficiency in order to learn fast.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for clear communication with patients and team members
- Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to reassure patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is essential.
