Full job description

A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Mobile LGV/Plant Mechanic.

The position will include carrying out routine maintenance on our mobile plant, including shredders and chippers, as well as our fleet of LGV tractor units and trailers. The position will be based at our Tilbury site, but you will spend a significant amount of time on the road.

The ideal applicant will have experience in maintaining LGVs/Plant equipment whilst making the best use of time and resources.

Hours of work are negotiable but will mainly be during the day shift and may include some Weekend working.

Ideally, you will have a time-served LGV background and have attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC qualifications. More importantly, you will have experience working in an LGV workshop or as a mobile fitter. Holding an LGV C+E license and having welding experience would be advantageous.

The Tilbury site is located at Station Approach Road, off Fort Road, Tilbury, RM18 8UL.
