Industrial Supplies is a well-established, independent Engineers Merchants based in the old industrial center of Hull. It is part of Humber Merchants Group, a network of 5 branches all owned by the same family We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, offering an extensive product range, and maintaining a strong commitment to quality.

We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Counter Support

Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain product displays and ensure the sales area is tidy, organised, and well stocked.

Warehousing

Receive, check, and process incoming stock and materials.
Organise and store inventory safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
Prepare customer orders for delivery or collection, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

Delivery Driving

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver building materials to customers.
Complete deliveries accurately and on time, maintaining a high level of customer service.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.

Requirements

Basic IT skills would be an advantage.
Previous experience within a builders’ merchant or similar environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge of building materials and products would be beneficial.
A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
Strong customer service skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
