The Opportunity
We are looking for a Trainee Customer Service Adviser to join our friendly and supportive team in Stamford.
No previous insurance experience is required – we provide full training and ongoing development to help you build a successful career.

What you’ll be doing
As part of our Customer Service team, you will:
- Manage inbound customer enquiries and deliver a high-quality, professional service
- Generate and convert new business opportunities through effective questioning and rapport-building
- Actively promote and sell insurance products, contributing to individual and team targets
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across the NFU Mutual product range
- Support customers with policy changes, renewals and queries
- Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently
You’ll receive structured training and ongoing support to help you succeed in all aspects of the role.
About you:
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:
- A strong interest in sales, customer service or financial services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence handling conversations both in person and over the phone
- A proactive, target-driven mindset
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a commercial environment
- Competency with IT systems
