Job Summary

Registered Manager – New Specialist Children’s Home
Location: Market Drayton (TF9)
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + bonuses (DOE)

A growing care provider is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the setup and launch of a new specialist children’s home in Market Drayton. This role is suited to someone with a strong track record in developing children’s services and delivering high standards from the outset.

The Role

Leading the full mobilisation of a new children’s home (setup, staffing, compliance readiness)
Managing and supporting registration with Ofsted
Building and developing a high-performing staff team from the ground up
Embedding safeguarding, care planning, and behavioural support frameworks
Ensuring the home is inspection-ready from day one
Working closely with senior leadership on service development and future expansion
Establishing relationships with local authorities and supporting placement referrals

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
Proven experience supporting young people with complex needs, including behavioural challenges, DoLs and safeguarding risks
Experience opening or registering a children’s home is strongly preferred and will be prioritised
Strong understanding of safeguarding, children’s home regulations, and inspection frameworks
Ability to build teams, structure services, and lead from the front
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
