Full job description

We are looking for a proactive and organised Operations & Administration Assistant to support the daily operation of our growing logistics business. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, assist with operational coordination and undertake occasional site visits and external errands when required.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support

Provide general administrative support to the Operations and Management teams.
Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
Assist with data entry, filing and document management.
Coordinate office supplies, equipment and facility-related matters.
Support meeting arrangements and internal communications.

Operational Support

Assist with daily operational coordination and follow-up tasks.
Monitor and update operational records and reports.
Support communication between office staff, warehouses and service providers.
Assist with onboarding arrangements for new employees and visitors.
Support operational projects and ad-hoc business requirements.

External Coordination

Liaise with suppliers, contractors and service providers.
Assist with purchasing and basic invoice administration.
Conduct occasional site visits and collect or deliver documents and materials when required.
Support office and warehouse setup activities.

Compliance & Administration

Ensure company records are maintained accurately.
Support health & safety administration and compliance documentation.
Assist with preparing reports and information requested by management.

Requirements

Previous administrative or operational support experience preferred.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Positive attitude and willingness to support different business functions.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally when required.
Right to work in the UK.

Preferred Experience

Experience within logistics, warehouse or transport environments.
Experience coordinating suppliers or contractors.
Basic understanding of office administration and operations support.

Pay: £24,420.00-£42,000.00 per year
