We are seeking a Graduate Estimator to join our expanding Bids and Business Development Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent civil engineering (or related) graduate to begin their career in estimating, working on a diverse range of projects that balance engineering delivery with environmental enhancement.
You will be supported by experienced Estimators, Designers, Project Managers and Technical Leads, gaining hands-on experience in pricing, tendering, and bid preparation, while developing a strong commercial understanding of civil engineering and environmental construction projects.
This hybrid role is based at our Head Office in Codford, Warminster, with opportunities for remote working and occasional site visits across the UK.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for civil engineering and environmental projects

Review drawings, specifications, and project information to support tender development

Help compile high-quality bid submissions and supporting documentation

Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations

Support site visits to better understand project scope and constraints

Collaborate with internal teams including Designers and Project Managers

Assist with bid administration and ensure timely submission of tenders
About You
We are looking for a motivated graduate with a strong interest in civil engineering and a desire to develop a career in estimating.
Essential:
-
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline

Full UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively
-
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable:
-
Relevant placement, internship, or work experience within construction or civil engineering
-
Awareness of estimating or project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project)
