Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Paralegal/Assistant to support our legal team specialising in property transactions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing conveyancing files, liaising with clients and third parties, and ensuring the smooth progression of property transfers. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their legal career within a professional environment that values organisation, communication, and efficiency. The position is paid and suitable for applicants with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.

Duties

Assist solicitors with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions
Prepare and review legal documents using Leap Software, Microsoft Word and other Office applications
Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date
Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties via email or telephone
Schedule appointments, deadlines, and follow-ups using case management systems to ensure timely progression of cases
Conduct legal research and maintain accurate records of case progress
Organise and file documentation both electronically and physically in accordance with firm policies
Support the team in drafting correspondence and reports as required
Ensure compliance with relevant legal procedures and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

Experience in Conveyancing or LLB is preferred
Proven experience or strong interest in conveyancing or property law is desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software platforms quickly
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines consistently
Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
