Job Overview
We are seeking an office-based Business Development Executive to support both the commercial and residential markets. The role involves proactively engaging with potential customers including M&E design consultants, housebuilders, developers, contractors, and resellers, while driving new business opportunities and supporting revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the sales pipeline efficiently using CRM software and Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, contacts, and activities.
- Prepare detailed proposals, reports, and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage the sales inbox, ensuring timely responses in line with agreed service levels.
- Handle incoming phone calls in a professional and efficient manner.
- Prepare and issue quotations and proposals for ventilation systems to contractors, designers, architects, resellers and end customers.
- Identify and act on upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the product range.
- Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring effective issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, sales pipelines, and activity logs within the CRM system.
- Develop a strong understanding of Airflow’s ventilation systems and product applications.
- Provide technical advice to customers regarding product selection and application.
- Support product demonstrations and online training sessions where required.
- Generate, qualify, and follow up on sales leads to convert opportunities into orders.
- Support marketing campaigns and lead generation activities.
- Follow up on existing leads to maximise conversion into sales.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Provide support to customer services, technical support and external sales teams as needed.
- Offer flexible cover during periods of team absence.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with installers and contractors to drive repeat business and new opportunities, while effectively managing contractor accounts.
- Process Sales orders when required.
- Support the External sales team with preparation of quotations, proposals, reports and market insights.
- Arrange and coordinate face-to-face meetings and showroom visits to support sales conversion.
Objectives & Targets
- Build and develop relationships with consultants, specifiers, contractors, developers, and resellers.
- Arrange face-to-face and virtual customer meetings to support order conversion.
- Deliver product training sessions to customers via Microsoft Teams where required.
- Manage and progress opportunities through the CRM system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and industry standards (e.g. Part F, L, O, SAP, CIBSE).
- Use product selection tools to recommend solutions and maximise sales opportunities.
- Research potential clients, projects, and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports, including sales performance and forecasts.
- Contribute to achieving overall company sales targets.
