Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our childcare team with flexible options between 16 and 37 hours available both term-time and all year round. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development while working within a supportive team. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills and be committed to fostering a caring atmosphere that promotes learning and growth.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and supervision for children aged from infancy to preschool age.
Plan and implement engaging activities that support developmental milestones and learning objectives.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care routines.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily activities.
Assist in organising nursery events, outings, and special programmes as required.
Uphold cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards within the nursery environment.

Experience

A relevant Level 2 is desirable
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience in managing groups of children with patience and professionalism.
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities. This role offers an enriching opportunity for those passionate about early childhood development to grow professionally within a supportive organisation dedicated to quality childcare.
