Steel Fabricator / Welder

Location: Balfron, G63

About the Role

Striking Iron is looking for an experienced and reliable Steel Fabricator / Welder to join our growing team based in Balfron.

We are looking for a well-mannered, hardworking individual with excellent fabrication and welding skills who can produce high-quality work, work efficiently, and contribute positively as part of a team.

The role involves the fabrication and welding of a variety of steel products, including gates, handrails, balustrades, structural steelwork and other bespoke metalwork.

Pay

£28,000 – £38,000 per year, depending on experience and skill level.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday
8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Workshop and site-based role

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and weld gates, railings, handrails and balustrades.
Manufacture and assemble structural steelwork.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
Carry out MIG welding and general steel fabrication to a high standard.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards.
Work safely and efficiently in both the workshop and on-site.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in steel fabrication and welding.
Proven experience manufacturing gates, railings and similar steelwork.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong welding and fabrication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality work.
