Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Semi Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a range of practical skills and be eager to develop further expertise within the industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various trades, contributing to diverse projects including carpentry, roofing, and general construction work. The successful applicant will work under supervision but is expected to demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic. We can provide flexible working hours, due to certain projects or contracts can be weather dependant.

Duties

Assist with carpentry, roofing, and masonry tasks as directed by senior tradespeople
Support construction painting, plumbing, and electrical installations
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Contribute to fabrication tasks on-site, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
Prepare work areas by cleaning and organising tools and materials
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with loading and unloading materials from vehicles such as lorries or vans
Support the team in maintaining project timelines and quality standards

Experience

Full UK driving Licence preferred
Previous experience in construction-related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools is desirable
Familiarity with trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry will be considered an asset
Experience with plumbing or electrical work is a plus but not mandatory
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different trades on-site

This position provides valuable exposure to multiple aspects of construction work, ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the industry. Applicants should demonstrate reliability, physical fitness for manual tasks, and a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork.

Pay: £12.21-£17.50 per hour
