The Role:
Undertake a range of maintenance and repair duties associated with the running of the Forth sites. Works include painting and decorating, general property maintenance, electrical and plumbing.
Health and Safety
· Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to Forth’s Health and Safety policy, systems and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation
· Establish that all equipment, plant and substances used are suitable for the task and are kept in good working condition; this includes the regular maintenance and servicing of equipment
· Take immediate and appropriate steps to report any risks to health and safety arising from the work activity.
General Duties
· General maintenance across all Forth estates and occasional Customers sites.
· Assisting with customer requests.
· Assisting with deliveries.
· Painting and decorating.
· Electrical works.
· Plumbing works.
· Operate within the scope of Forth’s policies and the law.
· Operate at all times in keeping with the values of Forth where the emphasis is on collaboration, participation and respect – empowering individuals to contribute their best.
· Undertake any other duties as consistent with the post.

Person Specification
· Excellent practical skills and demonstrable experience of safe ways of working.
· Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and groups.
· Ability to manage systems that would underpin safe and efficient maintenance operations.
· An ability to work to deadlines.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
· Experience gained in the industry to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S issues
KNOWLEDGE
· Knowledge of building maintenance.
· Knowledge of mechanical maintenance.
· Knowledge of electrical maintenance.
· Knowledge of painting and decorating.
· Knowledge of plumbing.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Educational and Vocational)
· Recognised practical qualifications (desirable)
· Workplace Health and Safety Certificates such as IOSH Working Safely (desirable)
· Tele-handler certificates (desirable)
· Workplace First Aid Certificates (desirable)
OTHER FACTORS
· Willingness to be flexible to help the organisation meet changing demands.
· An interest in the work of Forth is essential as is a commitment to its values.
· Current full driving licence.
Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
