We are currently looking for a Level 2/ Level 3 qualified technician/mechanic to join our team.

We are a highly efficient & well organised garage with a high turnover of cars per day. The majority of our customer base is made up of vehicles aged 1 - 8 years old, with more and more customers choosing to use us for their first/second service or first MOT. Mechanic/Service Technician
- Full time (08.30 - 17.00) Monday - Friday (No weekends)

- Any successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to become an MOT Tester and additional training (if they wish)
Day-to-day duties
- Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance..
- Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
- Replacement of tyres & carrying out puncture repairs
- Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
- Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
- Completing all documentation to the required standard.
- MOT tests (if certificates held)
- Diagnostics (if candidate has relevant experience)
Essential skills
- A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 2 and solid work experience in the automotive industry. (Level 3 would be a bonus)
- The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own or part of a busy team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to carry out work to high standards to deadlines.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach.
- The ability to accurately follow job cards and spoken instructions.
- A full driving licence.
Training
- We take training very seriously & all staff members are ENCOURAGED to take complete online as well as physical training courses to continue their personal development. All training courses are paid for by Meadowfield Auto Centre as part of our contracts.
- On employment commencing the candidate will be requested to complete a list of goals to be completed in the next 12 months & together, we will ensure those goals are met.
