Company Overview

The Bakewell Bakery is an artisan bakery located in Bakewell, Derbyshire, renowned for supplying high-quality baked goods to the catering industry. We take pride in crafting the original Bakewell Pudding and Derbyshire Oatcakes while supporting local businesses through our exceptional products and services.

Position Overview

We are seeking aBakery Oven Operator to oversee the baking process of our bread, pastries, and other baked goods. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial ovens, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating high-quality baked products.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor industrial bakery ovens
Ensure proper baking times and temperatures for all products
Maintain consistency and quality standards
Load and unload trays into ovens safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain oven area and related equipment
Work closely with the baking team to ensure production goals are met

Requirements

Previous experience operating bakery ovens (1+ years preferred)
Knowledge of baking techniques and dough handling
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good physical condition (able to lift trays and work in hot environments)
Punctual, reliable, and a team player

Working Hours:

Mondays and Saturdays off each week, Sundays off on a rota basis.

1pm start time until Finish, normally around 10pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
