Full job description

Overview:

Join our team as a Kennel Assistant and be part of a compassionate and dedicated animal care environment. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to animals.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
Clean and sanitize kennels, pens and animal living areas
Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns
Provide basic customer service to pet owners visiting the facility
Excellent telephone manner to take reservations

Necessary requirements:

Level 3 in animal care qualification
Experience working with animals is desirable but training will be given
Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
Be able to work as a team member
Must have own transport due to location
Uniform will be provided and must be worn during working hours

Work pattern will be 4 days one week and 6 the next to include every other weekend. This is a full time post with a contract after an initial 3 month probationary period. The contract will include 28 days paid holiday but staff are expected to work bank holidays as necessary. Usual hours will be 8-12 and 2-5 each day, with occasional early starts during busy periods.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
