Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on an alternating 2 shift pattern; 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining production and process machinery to ensure efficient production processes. The position is paid and suitable for applicants eager to develop their skills within a dynamic industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate vacuum metallising and slitting machinery
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on equipment to minimise downtime
Loading and unloading of product safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and movement within the workspace
Recording of relevant production and quality records
Maintain a clean, organised work area adhering to health and safety standards
Packing and labelling of finished product

Skills

Ability to understand and work to written instructions
Warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management is advantageous
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently
Previous experience in manufacturing environments or similar roles is desirable
Forklift licence is beneficial, although full training is provided
