Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Joiner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality timber components and joinery products, contributing to bespoke furniture, fittings, and structural elements. Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood materials with precision to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist in the installation of joinery products on-site, including fitting and finishing work
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the design team to interpret project requirements accurately
- Perform heavy lifting of timber and materials as necessary for fabrication and installation tasks
- Support additional construction activities such as roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or construction painting when required
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or carpentry roles within joinery or construction industries
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and measuring devices
- Experience using power tools including drills, sanders, routers, and saws
- Knowledge of joinery techniques including mortise and tenon, dovetailing, and biscuit joints
- Familiarity with working on-site for installation projects involving roofing or masonry is advantageous
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during fabrication or site work
- Additional experience in roofing, plumbing, electrical systems or construction painting is desirable but not essential
