Overview:
We are seeking a Passenger Assistant to join our team transporting SEN passengers to special schools. As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to passengers during their travel experience.
Duties:
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from vehicles
- Provide guidance and assistance to passengers with special needs
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort during transportation
- Communicate effectively with passengers to address inquiries and concerns
- Offer exceptional customer service throughout the journey
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the passenger area
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers effectively
- Strong customer service orientation to provide a positive experience for passengers
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- Willingness to assist passengers with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Prior experience in customer service or passenger assistance is a plus

We are seeking a dedicated Passenger Assistant for School Transport to ensure the safe and comfortable journey of pupils with diverse needs. This role involves supervising children during their daily commute, providing support as needed, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, patient care, childcare, school sector, or related fields, with a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's lives while working within a supportive team environment.
Duties
- Supervise children during their journey to and from school, ensuring their safety at all times
- Assist pupils with special needs, including those requiring assistance with mobility or behavioural support
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, organised, and complies with safety standards before and after each trip
- Assist with loading and unloading children
- Maintain clear communication with employer, school staff and parents regarding pupil wellbeing and any incidents during transport
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding protocols, training will be given.
Skills
- Experience within the care sector, school enviroment, or community is highly desirable, although not essential
- Experience in childcare or working with children with special needs is benifical but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with pupils, parents, and school staff
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on safety, patience, and understanding of diverse needs and for unpredicted and sometimes challenging behaviours.
