As our After School Club Assistant, you will work alongside the Club Leader to provide a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children aged 4–11 at the end of the school day.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting delivery of a range of activities, arts and crafts, sports, games and quiet relaxation time that enable pupils to unwind, have fun and develop social skills

Ensuring children’s safety, welfare and safeguarding at all times, following school policies and procedures

Assisting with registers and basic record keeping and first aid.

Preparing and serving healthy snacks in line with food hygiene and allergy guidance
-
Helping to set up, tidy away and maintain a welcoming, well-organised environment

Working positively with pupils, parents/carers and school staff as part of a supportive team

Following school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety policies
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, working closely with and under the guidance of class teachers and senior staff.
This role involves:

Providing support to pupils to help them engage fully with learning
-
Support classroom preparation and administration to create an inviting and stimulating learning environment.

Maintain records of progress and behaviour

Following school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety policies
-
Participate in school events, trips and playground supervision as required
About you
You will be someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and who can bring energy, patience and reliability to this role. We are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working with primary-aged children (essential)
-
Is reliable and communicates clearly building up warm, respectful relationships with pupils and families

Can manage behaviour positively and consistently, helping children feel safe and included
-
Is creative and able to engage children in play and structured activities
-
Is supportive, flexible and happy to be part of a collaborative team
