About the role
As Litigation Settlement Executive you will be managing and progressing the allocated litigation files from initial appointment through to resolution, ensuring all actions are completed in accordance with agreed service level agreements, court deadlines, and individual performance targets. You will be required to attend the Fort Dunlop office for a minimum of two days per week.
What you’ll be doing

progress assigned files from appointment to resolution

understand the service level agreement in place, liaising, and chasing necessary companies/individuals
-
deliver individual targets to support the effective and timely recovery of debt
-
assist team members with legal/procedural queries
-
research and prepare legal documents, including accurate client statements
-
file necessary documents with the court and third parties within set timescales
-
ensure effective communication with solicitors to produce weekly file updates and prompt notification of insurers response to deadlines and court outcomes
-
identify any shortfalls in service level agreements, reporting repetition, serious or unresolved issues
-
monitor, prioritise and action incoming communications, bringing urgent matters to the attention of your Team Leader

acknowledge and urgently act upon solicitor and court correspondence
-
maintain regular progress updates, presenting overview of file status and proactively make recommendations on issues identified
-
conduct additional/alternative work as assigned to cover absence and facilitate the smooth running of the department to achieve targets

observe and comply with GDPR

carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your Line Manager

provide advice to clients, corresponding with them and explaining complex issues.
What you’ll bring
-
demonstrable experience in a similar role, in Civil Litigation preferably RTA and knowledge of the CPR rules
-
experience within the insurance industry ideally motor insurance
-
understanding of litigation process and court proceedings
-
experience of Proclaim would be an advantage
-
clear verbal and written communication skills, persuasive and assertive able to capture a clear logical summary of situations

ability to prioritise recognising importance and urgency
-
proven judgment and decision-making skills including problem solving

commercial awareness.
