Position:

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kingswinford

Salary: £38,000–£40,000 + bonus

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at our manufacturing site in Kingswinford.

This role is focused on keeping our equipment and systems running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You’ll cover both planned preventative maintenance and reactive work, from day-to-day repairs through to fault diagnosis and longer-term improvements across the site.

The Role

You’ll be working across a broad range of equipment and systems, supporting the continuous operation of the site. The role combines hands-on maintenance with fault finding, coordination, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Support the continuous operation of site machinery and equipment across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Diagnose faults and complete repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems
Use internal systems to log maintenance activity, including PUWER risk assessments, and ensure clear communication back to the Production Engineering Manager
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely and in line with standards
Manage spare parts, including identifying and ordering required components
Occasionally manufacture or modify parts as required
Provide technical support to supervisors and production teams
Work collaboratively across departments to maintain safety and compliance

Requirements:

About You

Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / ONC / City & Guilds / HNC / HND or equivalent in electrical or mechanical discipline)
Strong hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Good working knowledge of:Mechanical systems and machine toolingElectrical systems up to 415V, including power distribution, motors, pumps, and PLCs
Confident using IT systems (Outlook, Word, Excel) to manage and record work
Methodical approach to fault finding with strong problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
Positive team player with a flexible approach to working hours when required
Able to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
