Job Summary

We are seeking a flexible and reliable Cleaner to join our team on a zero-hours contract basis. This role offers adaptable hours to fit around your schedule, making it ideal for those seeking part-time or supplementary work. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Previous experience in cleaning or related fields is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A positive attitude and attention to detail are essential qualities for this position.

Duties

Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to high standards
Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, and furniture as required
Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll where necessary
Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Adapt cleaning routines based on client specifications or specific requirements
Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet or window cleaning when needed
Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning tasks

Experience

Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus
Skills in cooking or customer service are advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is desirable
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Good organisational skills and attention to detail are vital for success in this role
