What will your day look like?
As a North East Lincolnshire Council’s Affordable Housing Officer your days will be interesting and varied. You will spend time talking to developers, landowners and registered providers to discuss solutions to challenges and develop new opportunities that will lead to more social and affordable homes in the borough. You will work closely with planning colleagues, reviewing pre application and planning applications submissions and drafting s106 agreements that ensure new developments meet local need. You will advise senior council officers and elected members alike on what action we take as a borough to incentivise and support new developments, thinking innovatively and creatively to bring best practice and new ideas into the work you lead.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a skilled and experience individual who has experience of working in planning or an affordable housing environment, leading affordable and social housing projects that include involvement in s106 processes. They will have a sound knowledge of the development of affordable and social housing and knowledge of Section 106 legal agreements and nomination agreements.
They will be good at building constructive relationships with people from a range of teams and sectors, with confident and clear written and verbal communication. They will have good organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload.
